WORLD RECORDS CONTEST

In your opinion what's the most interesting world record, that makes you go "wow!!"  ^_^

Through this webquest you will review English superlative adjectives and you'll find out about interesting world records. When you finish your task, you will be able to answer questions by using the superlative adjectives.

To do the task, your team will need to answer a questionnaire using resources on the Internet. You'll find some links that will guide you to the answers.

Perhaps you don't understand all the words used in the questionnaire or on the websites. Don't worry about that! There are useful free tools on Internet where to look up for difficult words. Don't forget to make a vocabulary list with difficult words for you and learn them.

TOUR DE FRANCE

Hi class my name is Paul. Last month I travelled in a bike to Paris, France, because my aunt live there. First I visited the Eiffel Tower. It is very big. Then I drank a juice in a restaurant. Finally I visited a museum and I found my aunt in that museum. It was a fantastic day! but I didn't visit the Liberty Statue.

ASTURIAS

Last Christmas, I went to Asturias with my mum and sister. We went by our car. In Asturias, I saw the Cathedral of Oviedo, I went for a walk with my cousin, we went to the shopping centre and we bought clothes. I felt very happy because I saw my family.

A SCHOOL TRIP

Last week, my classroom and I went to a museum, O Museo do Pobo Galego. We arrived there by bus, but the trip was not very long. In the museum, we saw many things. We saw old clothes. It was very interesting; containers similar to those of today and we saw rare instruments. It was a very good idea to visit the museum and I had a good time.

A HOCKEY MATCH

   Last weekend, I had an amazing day. I went to A Coruña with my friends María, Iria, Iris and Juanjo.
   We travelled by Juanjo´s car with my other friends. I saw an amazing hockey match and then I played hockey with my friends. Finally we drank Coca colas. I felt very good.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

   Last month, I had two amazing weeks. My sister and I travelled by airplane to New York.

   The first day, we visited the Empire State Building and we saw all New York from it. The next day we went to Times Square. Other day we walked in Central Park. The next days we visited many places. I was very happy. It was a very good trip.

Last Sunday I went to the football pitch with my friends.

I travelled on foot and I saw a football match. It began when my mother called me and I looked at my friends.

I felt happy because they won the match.
